they took out my I teeth in preparation for braces back in elementary school. Had 3 adult teeth pulled, then a baby tooth, then dug down into the jaw, underneath the baby tooth in order to pull the developing adult tooth out as well. let me tell you, that was NOT fun.
had 2 wisdoms removed about a month ago. I think the guy did a shoddy job, my gum still isn't healed yet and I still can't eat large (aka anything thicker than my thumb...sandwiches are extremely difficult) because my jaw won't open enough to allow it to fit yet. And there's a big gap in my gumline where it should be closed...like there's an invisible space there where the tooth should be. I'm hoping the gumline will close up around my tooth eventually. I keep getting food stuck back there and it sucks because it's just a pocket back there for them.
I got vicodin too (hydrocodone)...good stuff, although I was hinted at to take double dosage in order to get high off it

I was taking too many pills after my surgery though. I had 5 various pills I was taking afterwards for the swelling, pain, and infection prevention. Not to mention I couldn't eat anything that was chewier than water.
buy packages of Ensure or some other drink meal thing. it'll be the only thing you can get past your jaw for at least a few days. (slim fast works too, however, slim fast is some of the nastiest stuff you'll send through your system. and it makes urine smell funky...at least the cappuccino flavored ones do)
