PLEASE NO FLAMING IN THIS THREAD! JUST ADD YOUR STORY IF YOU WANT OR COMMENT IN AN OBJECTIVE FASHION!

I'm only posting this because I am venting right now. I've had a really bad day. Here's a little bit of the whole story.

When I was 16 yrs old, I was busted for Identity Theft, Wire Fraud, Counterfeiting, and Illegal Possession of Sensitive/Personal Information with the intent to sell.

Seen the movie Hackers where the FBI storms the guys house and takes his computer and all related items? Yeah, that really happened to me August 2001.

Yeah, so I used my knowledge in computers for doing wrong, but I never used any of the information I gathered from hacking. I was young and I did it only for to see if I could do it or not. And if your thinking I'm a dumb ass for getting caught, I am.

The reason I was caught was due to another person who was raided the same day I was. He was someone I went to High School with that looked up to me for information. I'm not stupid, I would always cover my tracks with firewalls, file encryption, and ghost IP address programs. My flaw, was that I spoke to this other idiot online. He got me fucked over because he was under investigation, and soon brought me into surveillance.

I saw the surveillance, but figured I was going insane. I noticed that "Peoples Energy" vans were parked on my street. I noticed strange cars following me. I thought this was just paranoia, but found my house raded by the FBI (five agents with blue coats with yellow "FBI" lettering on them all with guns).

They waited until I was 18 years old (to charge me for an adult crime) before busting me for what had happened years before. When they came to my house, they asked me many questions regarding any offenses. At the same time the LIED TO ME by saying, "No, you don't need a lawyer".

Do you know that a Government Officer is allowed to lie to you in order to get sensitive information out of a suspect, but if you lie to them it is PURGURY? This is true, and this is one of the many reasons why I hate the Government with a passion.

    Back to the Story…..
I live in Chicago, but since I hacked Microsoft Network (MSN) for this all of the sensitive information I had stolen, I was tried in Seattle, Washington. This meant I had to travel to Seattle 5 times total within a 2-year period. This would include speaking with my Federal Public Defender and Court appearances. If you live in or have ever been to Seattle Washington, it is boring yet interesting at the same time. Though the five times I was there, I found NOT ONE attractive girl.

According to my charges, I faced a fine of $100,000 and jail time up to 5 years in Federal Prison. I was able to get away with a $2,000 fine, 250 hours of community services, 5 years probation, and house arrest for 6 months WITHOUT ankle restraint.

I got away quite well. There was one major problem. I was restricted from using the internet unless my probation officer allowed me to. You might be wondering why that is just a problem. Well, due to the conviction the company I worked for, Ritz/Wolf Camera fired me because of it. There was one funny thing about it all. The Ritz knew about my court battle even before they hired me. I was the TOP seller in the district most of the time (out of 273 employees). I did everything by the book. I honestly never stole, yet the District Manager, Peter Desouza, fired me under false reasons.

I’m the kind of person who is very independent. I started my own business online (though not currently allowed to be online by court order). I sold automotive products that I created and built myself from my own knowledge. I was able to have a profit of $57,200 for one year after taxes just by my online company. I would figure this would be a good thing since I’m only 22 yrs old. Let me also add that all parts of my company have been legit.

I will go into further detail in this thread if you ask me questions. This is my true story, so I would appreciate no flaming about it! Before you post a flame regarding what I have provided, just think of someone making fun of how a family member of yours died! Please don’t flame is all I am asking.

If you have a story of your own where you have been convicted of a crime, and want to share your story. Please do so.

Dude, that's a pretty damn good business you have there. How'd you get it started?

    --------

Anyway, I have been in prison (a police cell rather) once. Well, my ex-g/f was raped, about a month and a half ago and I incidentally ended up beating the fuck out of him. Her parents hated me so they took it upon themselves to make her try me with the rape. I was in a cell for two days, but I ended up getting freed when the DNA evidence showed I did not do a damn thing. Pissed off still, but hey... that's life. I have never gone to jail for a crime... not one that I actually committed, anyway :p

I'm the kind of person who finds something interesting and won't stop until it is perfected. I currently have an anxiety disorder that stops me from sleeping. Basically my mind will not stop running ideas through it. The only way I can slow these thoughts is with Xanax or with Alcohol. Honestly, I'm not trying to make a joke here. I am being serious.

I started selling on eBay under the ID: Avenge69. I soon closed my accound with eBay while creating over 10 websites that I personally control (now most pointing to the same site).

Thought under my probation restrictions, I started my own legitiment internet business which is still under construction. I'm not sure if you are a car enthusiast, but I'm the sole creator of the TORCH Exhaust Flame Thrower Kit (my avatar kinda gives that away). It is quite expensive, but worth it to start your own merchant account, locally register your business name (different from creating a trademark), and creating the website coding in order to market your item.

As someone devoted to internet sales, I would strongly suggest anyone to stay away from the bullshit claims on late night TV talking about making millions on "eBay" or otherwise. I review everything, and see that using your own knowledge, and searching the net for what you do not know is the only way you will become a sucessful seller.

Might I add, I HATE eBay WITH A PASSION!

Ugh. I hate eBay, because it didn't email me about £1.20 that i supposedly owed. I always took exact money and put it into my PayPal account for a purchase, but the bastard seller hiked the price up. They threatened to send the bailiffs (Repo guys to you Americans) to me if I didnt pay this money. It was a bit of a shock when out of the blue I got NO emails but yet I was on the recieving end of a nice threat letter. I could imagine the scene now:

Bailiff: "I'm a cock and I am here to take something from your house totalling the value of just over a quid"

Me: "Yes, you are a cock. Might I tempt you with this half-eaten apple? Or this pad of paper with customary coffee ring? Fuck you."

*Gets punched in face by bailiff*

What I am trying to say is that I got no warning at all, for an amount I earn in about 5 minutes. I hate eBay.

    On Topic:

I clicked your link. Nice looking plan. I hope it goes well... I would plan to do something similar but I have no clue about that kind of thing. As expensive as it is, I don't want to either.

I am particularly surprised that no one has come forward with their arrests or convictions..... as of yet! I'm not talking about such serious offenses as those committed by myself, but yet anything in general. I’m asking that you at least express how you feel about your sentencing or committal, and give some incite to us. I honestly don't want flaming in this thread. All I am asking for is the truth.

Step up and tell your story of arrest or conviction whether it is drug possession, DUI (driving under the influence), stealing, robbing, or racial profiling. Please submit your story.

This is a thread AGAINST or FOR the government enforcement of your country. I'm personally looking for your take on events whether large or small.

It's not that cool to brag about convictions really, is it? I think if anyone comes forward with anything, it's going to be a bullshit attempt to look good.

Okay you got caught, and took it like a man. Noted!

However your not supposed to be on the net due to your court order. Are you trying to push your luck? Disobeying a court order is a serious charge. If caught you will get jail time. Rather then community service.

    Just making sure you know.

Ehhh, I won't say what I did, most will call bullshit.

I got 2 years of probation 90 hours of community service and 45 days of ankle monitor. Then my probation officer started doing bi-weekly drug tests too..

I have never been arrested, but, I have been given a caution by the police. Couldn't complain really because it was for having a spacehopper fight at 3am in the middle of the road!

Also, I once had to run from a pair of officers after me and a couple of friends tipped a bench into a canal as a bit of post-club venting.

    Good times!

Also not going into details.....if your really interested I posted about it once a while back.

Anyway spent a total of almost 3 months being extradited from florida to New Hampshire on a govenors warrant. Spent three weeks of that in USP atlanta (that would be United States Penitentiary) and let me tell ya, that is NOT a happy place. Imagine the worst of the worst of the worst you could dream up for a prison in the US and you might be close. Funny enough the place I spent the least amount of time was New Hampshire and it was the nicest.....the jail was brand new, the food was great, and get this....50" plasma screens with sattelite cable, unfortunatley I only spent 4 days there untill I was able to be seen in court....charges were dismissed and I went back home to Florida.

Me and my brother had a air horn, and we kept blowing it during the Summer night after night. We saw the cops ride by 3 times then they would stake it out down the street listening for it. One time they acually pulled over and started looking through yards with their flashlights but they found nothing lol. They still dont know it was us.

I wasn't exactly, "arrested" as you want to call it, but I did get in trouble with the police a lot last year. I had posted something really stupid online once, probably a xanga just as a joke, and let's just say somebody took it the wrong way. One of my friends replied back, "yeah, columbine part II will be great". We had no intention whatsoever to do anything like that. Somebody called the police and they called me down to the office. Found out about "mental problems" with me I guess, and I was suspended from school. The police came and took my computer way too, to check for any "future plans". All in all it was super gay, and a big misundestanding.

I was also arrested for vandalism and theft in 7th grade. That was.. stupid too.

I was told by a police officer that thought I was an out of towner that my county had a curfew for kids under 18 (I was 17 at the time) and I just looked at him and said "I have lived here my entire life WTF are you talking about" He was pissed but his partner found it funny as fuck and let me go.

I got busted stealing, I left the scene, the police officer showed at my door step. I was summoned to court. About a week later, I got pulled over for speeding, and eventually got guns pulled and I got pulled out of my car by about four officers. Come to find out, they never cleared the computer that I wasn't no longer wanted.

My dad went to the police station and took out a little anger on the officer that pulled the weapon. Keep in mind, I'm just some punk 15 year old kid at the time, and made no attempt to resist arrest, I was just asking what I did, but they didn't answer.

Me and my brother got into a fight. Parents weren't home. I'm 21 he's 17 at the time. When we go at it we go. If you wanted a UFC fight put us in the cage. But anyways, he felt like is life was being threatned, so he called the police. They come over ask whats going on, he's screaming and since I touched him 1st it's all my fault. So they ask where are my parents. None of us know. It's Saturday morning. So the cops ask my brother "what do you want us to do, it's your decsion if you want us to take him." I couldn't believe that they were leaving that up to a 17 year old who wasn't thinking rationally at all. And off I went to jail. And so I get charged with battery by my dumb brother. What's retarded is that right after the cop car drove off he called up one of his friends asking him what to do. His friend's mom's sister worked in the jail. So I got out in a few hours. But I will always hate him. There are sometimes when I feel like maybe we could talk again, but them I remember that and I feel the hatred building up inside of me again. My brother doesn't understand the severity of what he has done. I guess he assumed that it was a "little lesson" for me. It was no lesson, all it has done is made my life harder. I'm getting this charged expunged, but still, it's amazing how your own brother will charge you with that.

Just because he is your brother, does not entitle you to put your hands on him. Play fighting okay, hell even some contact, brothers do that. BUT when it comes to the point where both parties are serious, then its time to stop.

By what you stated, it looks like he had some physical marks on him from you. That's probably why they took his side rather then yours. The police are not mind readers, nor are they there to see who started it first. They go by what they see at the time of their arrival. He has physical marks on him, and you don't. He wants to press charges, off you go.

What's also amazing is that you could beat your brother up to the point where he was so scared, that the police are needed.

How long ago did this happen if you don't mind me asking?
