heres my plan, since me and my freind drive randomly a lot searching for old cars to buy, sometimes for a few hours, we have decided to build the ultimate fuel economy hot rod, it will be based on the 70-71 HEMI 'Cuda, in terms of looks but it will actually be a 90-93 ford festiva. the plan goes as follows, shaker hood with non-functional scoop that looks like a cuda shaker. powder coat the 'Tiva's steel wheels the same color as 'Cuda rallys. paint it hemi orange with blacked out panel between the tail lights. paint black billboard graphics on the sides. replace stock shift knob with a pistol grip from a real 'Cuda. cut the "fes" off the festiva emblem and add an apostropie. we plan on spending about $500-600 on a nice festiva. were going to use old hemi orange enamel paint that we already have, fabricate an aluminuim or steel shaker scoop for free out of scrap metal using an english wheel. use a dye to put new threads on the stock shifter so the pistol grip will screw onto it. so maybe well have like $600-700 into the whole project. any ideas on how to make the hemi 'Tiva look more like a hemi "cuda??
