As an American, I really don't feel comfortable with either of these men running our country. What would be some alternatives? Also, what is the shot of an independent or minor party ever winning a presidency?

Does anyone else feel like this?

Sometimes I find my self listening to Bush, and I will think "We cannot let this man run our country again..." But when I listen to Kerry, and hear stories like the one posted by Kanism, I don't think he would cut it either. Maybe I should just write in somebody on my ballot... :(

Bush may have his problems but Kerry would be a fucking disaster.

My advise is this. Do your own research. Watch the news, read newspapers. See which politician appeals to you. If you want a third party candidate though, by all means vote for one.

See I have pretty much given up on the news. Fox News especially. They seem to slant things in a right wing direction very often. (Also, I cant stand Bill O'Reilly)

I am deffinetly not voting for either of these men, but my problem with voting for third party canidates is that they have no support. My vote would be wasted, and I would still be stuck with an imbecile for president.

Don't get me wrong, I love America, but I seriously think that we lack any kind of responsible leadership right now. If this continues to happen we will constently continue to lose power around the world.

I seriously think that we need to rebel angainst "standard" politicians here in the U.S. (Not violently). Too many of them are special interest driven, only doing things that help/interest them. Most of them are biggots.

Too right. We get it here in Britain on Sky TV. It's absurd.

Maybe so. But I can rely on the professionalism of CNN, even if they are Left. The same cannot be said for FOX.

And why not? Fox is very professional in the way they conduct the news.

OMG you are so full of shit. CNN ran a headline once that said "Bush against Taiwan independence." What he actually said was he supported the status quo between Taiwan and China in which Taiwan is independent but China refuses to recognize this under threat of war if anybody tries to change this. Thats professional?

Oh yeah, laughing at Iraqis, cutting the microphones of people who get the upper hand in a debate. That's real professional journalism.

What the hell are you talking about. They never cut mics. Never. O'Reilly did a couple times but thats it. And that was only because they kept changing the subject and refusing to talk about the issue. At least on Fox you get both sides of the story. Look at the Hannity and Colmes show. Hannity is conservative, Colmes is a liberal. You can't get much more fair and balanced than that. All they do on CNN is bash Republicans and almost never invite a conservative on their shows so they can defend themselves. Yeah, thats real professional.

    "We report, you decide"

Wow, I'm allowed to decide? Good lord, and I didn't know I needed to be qualified by FOX to think for myself.

    "Fair and Balanced"

Why do they feel they need to say this? Shouldn't we, who watch it, decide whether it's fair, or indeed balanced?

Bad to live in a country with only two partys which have nearly equal views and programms, but at least Kerry is not going to play Star Wars with a missile defense system.

We won't have a defense if Kerry is elected.

Yeah and TH I hope North Korea nuclear bombs your fucking house but you survive but have to eat from a tube in your stomach and breathe through one in your neck for the rest of your life. You'll thank your missle defense system later. I can't believe you have a beef with something that is out to protect you and everyone in this country. Protecting the masses of America has neither a liberal nor conservative bias. It is something both parties and everyone in the country can agree is a good thing.

What are you yammering about now? Those are advertising slogans, nothing more. The New York Times is liberal and their slogan is "All The News That's Fit To Print". Do you see me saying: "OMG, who the hell are they to decide what's fit to print? Good lord, do I really need the Times to decide what's fit for me to know and then spoon feed it to me??!!"

    Get a fucking grip.
