Did you just bump your own post with a comment about how good the post was???

BTW, this movie is probably going to be good, except sadly its only inspiried by a true story....its extremely distorted from the original.

Oh ya, and the Persians can pwn the Spartans any day....

oh wait, they did...

Based off Frank Millers graphic novel, so its far from the actual depiction. If you want to know more about it, google: "The Battle of Thermopylae ".

no one said hes a historian smart ass....but most people from a specific background know a little about their own background and history..isnt that fair to say? I'm not persian...and being that he is persian, and saying that the persians won that war...obviously if I wanted to know more about why he said that, he would be someone I would ask...Dumbass

Don't get into conversations where you don't know whats going on in..

You seem to do that a lot, no wonder why everyone thinks your an idiot. I remember in that one thread about the girl who skated under 40 cars and you were like "no they're lying..it wasn't 40"..when clearly all the reporters and storys said it was....Silence monkey you know nothing. The biggest retard of the forum should really be the one pointing out things here right?

did the persians win the war. i thought they lost because they had suffered a big loss of troops at thermoplyae and in the Battle of Plataea.

Sorry, but the Persians did not 'pwn' the Greeks at all. If it wasn't for your little friend, Ephialtes, its highly likely that the Persians wouldn't of been able to flank the Spartans at all.

Did you happen to see some alien-like fatass with blade-hands in the trailer? The fuck is that?

Yeah I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the graphic novel. I think the ogre thing at 1:01 is Ephialtes though.

The Battle of Thermopylae was lost by the Spartans only because the persians were given inside information by a sell-out Spartan (or a local citizen maybe). Even still, with the Spartans surrounded by the Persian army and hugely outnumbered, the Persians suffered horrible losses. And even thoughthey did win the battle in the end, Persia lost the war. In fact, the Greeks, as a collective group of city states, kicked Persia's ass again and again and again. Despite their huge numbers they were not as well trained or organized. Persia didn't "pwn" Sparta, Persia was Greece's bitch for a good chunk of history.

If he was born and raised in Persia and went to school there, yeah. Otherwise no because that's not HIS background or history. My background and history is not German, English, Italian, French, Canadian, Indian, and Irish. It's American. You think I know all kinds of German, English, Italian, French, Canadian, Indian, and Irish history just because some of my ancestors were from there?
