opinions on 80 gig ipod? would a 30gig be a better deal?
or should i just wait until 6 gen ipod

i dont think ill go to a different kind of mp3, its not worth it to have some 3rd company music organizer/store compared to itunes. i thought about the zen video player that can play and record fm radio.. but ipod + 80 gig + itunes is a great package to me

any thoughts?

Put it this way, do you have 40,000 songs?

I really wish I had enough money to buy an 80 gig. 30 is just not enough for me. I want to have all my music on me at once.

I have 1,914 songs and it has only taken up 6.90 gigs, ask yourself now if you need 80 gigs of memory........hell no. The company is just ripping people off through ignorance, only in one condition 80 gigs is worth if you plan on watching movies and such, then it's applicable, but for music, it's worthless. Get yourself a 10 gig, if it exist.

Here's what I did. I took the music that I actually listen to and put it on iTunes. When I was done with that, it showed that it was like 4.6gigs or something. So I'm planning to get the 8gig nano from Costco. Why Costco, because it's a fairly good price there, it's cool, and the 5 year return policy kicks ass!

My suggestions is don't cram your ipod with crap you won't listen to cuz that's just a waste of memory.

80 gigs!? Seriously, isn't that like 700 hours worth of music? I don't see how you could fill an 80 gig ipod unless you fill it with videos. But then I have to ask you why would you want to watch 80 gigs worth of videos on a 2" screen.

I could fill an 80 gb Ipod. Or at least come close. Set it on random, you'd never hear the same song twice.:D

Shit, when I use random on my near capacity 30, I never hear the same song twice, image on an 80. I'm thinking about selling my 30 just to by an 80. I have TONS of music and TONS of videos and it seems perfect for me.
