This was known for a while but Six Flags: Ohio was bought out by the dude that owns Cedar Point. He plans to rename all of the coasters and the park back to it's original name "Geauga Lake". Anyone care to comment?

Because Ohio is the shit and is the only state that will go through the Four Seasons of the year in one hour.

I was kinda pissed when they changed the name.
I'm glad they're changing it back.
Too bad I'm leaving shitty ohio forever.

More like Winter every hour of every season.

I wish that Cedar Point guy would buy all the Six Flags and make them all into Roller Coaster Parks...the rides we have here are lame as hell.

No... but it will snow, hail, rain, and dry up for shorts in one day.
LOL, you're exaggerating a bit bud. I lived in MN and SD, now there is some crazy weather here, but that's impossible. Yesterday here was about 91 degrees, and today it was about 45. That's pretty crazy weather.

2. Fastest rollar coaster (93 mph)
3. Longest drop on a rollar coaster (300 feet)
4. Most rollar coasters in one park (14)
5. Most rides in one park (68)
6. First rollar coaster to top 300 feet
7. Most steel rollar coasters in one park (12)
8. Most rollar coaster track in one park (44,013 feet)

Why would anyone go to Ohio?
BECAUSE I FUCKING LIVE HERE!

I was at Six Flags (Geauga Lake...I'm used to calling it Six Flags now) and it's exactly the same. It really isn't anywhere near Cedar Point, but they have some hella good rides. In X-Flight, you lay pretty much flat and face the ground (kinda like you're flying.) They only changed the names of the coasters that had anything to do with Warner Brothers (Batman, Superman etc.) The Villian, Raging Wolfbob's and others are still the same. It was amazing, yesterday, no line was longer than 20 minutes. I had to play with the orchestra, so I'm not sure if they had the park open for regular business or not...It was pretty wicked.

Going to Cedar point on the 29th of this month...Ready to ride everything. Sketcher, those stats are out of date. Top Thrill Dragster is 420 feet high and reaches 120 mph. Cedar point also has 16 coasters.

Top Thrill Dragster is cool.
I was on it last year it is so scary, and it was raining and the rain hurt.

Yea, I know. The next day after I posted that link, I tried to go to that site and they were updating it.

Cedar Point rules. The only other amusement I've been to that comes somewhat close is King's Island (near Cincinnati), but it's still a far cry from Cedar Point. Never been to Six Flags/Geauga Lake, never seen any reason to go there. The only Six Flags I've ever been to was in Belgium, and it was lame. There were only a few roller coasters, and they didn't look like they were all that great. (I couldn't ride them, it was while I was pregnant. The only reason I went was to get out of work.)

Haven't been to Cedar Point since 1999, though, so once I get back to the States I'll have to make a point to go there with my fiance, who's never been there, and ride all the rides that are new since the last time I was there.

And as far as Ohio goes, they have good amusement parks, but the people in Ohio do not know how to drive for shit. I could kill some Ohio drivers, I swear. And also, Youngstown sucks.

i thought this would be about the guy who fell out of the superman at 6 flags:new england (which is about 20 min from me). he was really, really fat, and he had been denies access to the ride before. he also had a mental disease (i forget which one). the attendant didnt check the lap bar (according to the woman seated behind him) and he fell out. im assuming he fell out at the first drop, b/c i know all 50 times ive been on the ride ive felt like im falling out even with my lap bar squishing my bladder. the woman behind him tried to hold onto his suspenders, but he was too heavy, so she couldnt hold him.

later, the park tried to keep the woman quiet, but she still went to the press.

i feel really bad for the guy, and the attendant got fired. i just hope the rides open when i go to get my season pass in a week and a half. the supermans the only decent ride there until the water park opens.
